D2676 engine parts: what fits, what fails, what we stock

The D2676 is a 12.4-litre inline-six built for heavy trucks, buses, marine and stationary use. It has been produced from Euro 4 through Euro 6d, and that stage matters more than the model year: the Euro 6C and Euro 6D versions differ in cylinder head, injection and exhaust after-treatment, and parts are not interchangeable between them.

Before ordering anything for this engine, read the engine number from the block. It decides the version; the vehicle registration does not.

Where it is fitted

Trucks of the TGS and TGX series, buses with the same power unit, and marine and generator versions built on the same block.

What typically fails

EGR coolerInternal leaks show up as coolant loss with no puddle under the vehicle, and white smoke on start. Pressure testing the cooler is quicker than chasing the leak elsewhere.
Injector sleevesCoolant in the oil on this engine often comes from the copper sleeve around the injector, not from the head gasket. Check the sleeves before condemning the head.
Crankshaft bearingsDamage here is a lubrication story: low oil pressure at idle, a blocked gallery, or extended running with the wrong oil. A crankshaft is measurable - have the journals checked rather than replaced on suspicion.
Turbocharger with variable geometrySticking vanes after long idling periods produce power loss and black smoke. The turbo is rarely the root cause; the oil supply usually is.
Cylinder head cracksBetween the valve seats and the injector bore. Pressure testing tells you in twenty minutes what guessing costs in two days.
