Renault valve cover 20494859 for DXi11 engines – original, used
Renault cylinder head cover (valve cover) for DXi11 engines, part number 20494859. Used original part, 2 units in stock at SPS Automotive in Nürnberg, Germany. The valve cover closes the top of the cylinder head and keeps the camshaft and rocker gear in oil. A cracked cover, a distorted sealing face or brittle seals show up as oil weeping down the side of the engine, oil in the injector wells and a permanently dirty engine bay. On a used cover the sealing face and the injector seal seats are what matter; ours are checked before dispatch and photographed on request.

Installation notes
Renew the cover gasket and the injector seals when fitting, clean the sealing face on the cylinder head, and tighten the cover bolts in the sequence and to the torque given in the manufacturer workshop manual. Overtightening distorts the cover and causes the leak to come back.
